I am not really into brand names when it comes to clothes.  I buy what I think is cute and, of course, it's usually at least on sale, if not clearance.  Right now I have most of the fall basics: boots, long sleeved tees and some scarves.  I want to update my wardrobe with a few new items (loving the jewel tones everywhere!), but I don't want to spend a ton of money.  Plus, as I'm losing weight, I don't want to waste money on expensive new items I won't wear for a long time.

I went to Meijer with some ideas of what I needed: a few layering cardigans, new leggings and a bright new scarf.  There was a Saturday sale, so I knew I had about $55 to spend with the gift card.

I was so pleased with their new fall selection.  I am always drawn to jewel and earthy tones and they were everywhere!

I ended up spending $56 after the mPerk deal (only $6 after my gift card!) and I got some fresh items for my closet:

• 2 cardigans- $14 & $24
• 1 pair of brown leggings (SO hard to find!)- $8
• Scarf- $15 

This weekend Meijer has a 2 day sale and there is an mPerk for 25% off an apparel item!  I may have to get another one of those fly-open cardigans.  SO comfy!

Meijers new program- Mperks

When I was in Wisconsin, I really missed my Meijers.  If you are unfamiliar, you can get anything you can think of there.  Like a Walmart, but much better (in my opinion, of course). I love the grocery department and they have great prices.  Now, to make it even better, they are offering some new perks.  Mperks, to be exact.  You just add your cellphone number to the website, then load coupons to your phone number.  When you checkout, you automatically have the coupons taken off your order.  You can use other coupons with these, which helps you save even more!  There is an Ipod/I-touch application to use with this also which helps you find what you are looking for in stores.  Eventually you will be able to load Meijer Mealbox coupons to this also. I have yet to try this, but I am super excited to take my I-touch to the store...they have even added Wi-fi hotpots throughout their stores so people can use their I-touch.  I'm such a tech geek, this was the highlight of my day when I went on my first Meijer run.   Since I'm new to the stores anyways, this will help me save time from wandering around.
