I like to shop, but during the holidays I cannot stand the crowds.  Also, what's up with the grouchy people?  It's like all of the crazies come out of the woodwork to get gifts.  Not a fan at all!  It's the holiday season and I don't need strangers making me crabby with their attitudes!

I like to do my shopping from my couch.  I can find all of the deals and be comfy in my sweats!  Actually, I think I save money shopping online because I can find the best price and coupons for items...I don't have to wait for sales in the stores!

When I decide which website I'm shopping on, I head right over to Ebates.  There I can find coupon codes and get a percentage back from ordering.  If you have a better coupon code from your email or a text, you are not obligated to use ones you find on the Ebates website, which is nice. 

On the weekends, they tend to have double cash back days.  They are always adding new online stores, as well.  Recently, they have joined forces with Amazon and Groupon. 


Confused on how it works?  I get a lot of questions about it.  While on Ebates, you click on "shop now" and you are sent to the actual website you want.  After ordering, your percentage back will be applied to your account.  The only unfortunate part is that you only get your cash back 4 times a year.  I love after the holiday season though, because I get my money applied to my account in the winter when all of the good sales are going on!

If you are a new member, you get a free $10 gift card after you spend $25 or more on an order.  It's a nice little bonus!

Save AND earn money with Ebates!

I have been doing a bit of online shopping lately and I love to use Ebates.  If you have never heard of it, Ebates is a website which you can get cash back from your online orders (usually 2-15%), plus they share great promo codes.  I have saved so much money, plus I have gotten over $15 back!  Every little bit counts! 

Quick tips:

• Always search for the website first on Ebates and click on the link "shop now", otherwise they can't track your order and you can't get your money back.  Don't worry, no payment info is visible!
• Try a few different promo codes listed, you never know how much you can save!

I know there are a lot of options like this site out there, but this seems to be the one with the highest payout!

JcPenney $10/$10 coupon code is back!

About every month or so, JCPenney.com offers a coupon for $10/$10+ purchase.  Last time, I was able to get 6 pairs of shoes for the girls (separate transactions) for less than $10 total. 

The best way to use this deal is to do a little bit of shoe shopping.  They always offer free shipping and if you search through the clearance/sale areas there are many deals to be found. Its taking everything in my power to not go crazy shoe shopping, especially when they have $29.99 ($19.99 after the discount) Chuck Taylors! Those usually run around $40 at least!

How to use the code: just enter GO4TEN at checkout and it will deduct the $10 from your order.  This offer is valid until Sept. 28th.

The rest of the site has $4.99 shipping, which isn't bad either.  If anything does not fit right, it is super easy to make returns at the store.

Additional savings can be found if you order through Ebates or Shop-at-home, where you get an additional percent back from your order (each website offers 3% back).  It probably wont amount to much, but I guess every penny counts.

Gap + Amazon deals

Since there are so many money saving blogs out there, I try not to post every great deal that is going on...that is their job!  Some are too good to not tell you about though!  Here are two that have the bloggers buzzing.

1. 15% cash back through Ebates at Gap.com.  Although you dont get the cash back right away, this is a great deal if you are already shopping for some new fall clothes.  Plus, if you sign up with my link, I am one person closer to that Ipad...no pressure though.

2. Amazon Mom.  This is my favorite!  I am a slight Amazon addict, especially when I start Christmas shopping.  With Amazon Mom, you get FREE prime shipping for 3 months (thats 2-day shipping), as well as diaper deals and many other perks.  You can use the free shipping on anything on the site, not just diapers.  I love the Amazon digital section, you can download MP3 albums for super cheap and they have a lot of great freebies.

Not the most fashionable, but super warm!

As much as I love summer, I am super excited about fall.  This humidity is too much right now!  In the Midwest, fall means fun shoes and boots.  The past few years I have purchased all of my boots from Endless.com.  It is a shoe website from Amazon and they have great prices early in the season for boots.  If you sign up for their emails, they offer a lot of great coupons.  My favorite thing is that there is free overnight shipping and free returns.  Buying shoes online can be tricky sometimes, its nice to have the free return shipping as something to fall back on.  Usually this time of year you can find great deals on more expensive brands like Emu and Ugg.  When those boots first came out, I could not understand the big fuss over that style of boots, since they aren't the most fashionable, but now I cannot live in the winter without them.   When I was pregnant with the twins, they were the only ones that would fit my cankles in them! 

As always, when you shop online use Ebates!  You get 7.5% back from this website.  It may not seem like much,  but when you get a big check in a few months, it will be a nice surprise.  Back-to-school season always brings higher cashback rates, so keep your eye out.  When you make your first Ebates order through my personal link, I get a prize... no pressure though.
